Today wraps up my first week abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark. Despite jetlag and an intense courseload, here are some sights I’ve seen:

Boat tour of the canals - In under an hour, we explored much of Copenhagen’s history in a boat that rode under arches so low, my hand to touch the underside of the bridges.

I am off to Denmark tomorrow! For three glorious weeks I will be studying sustainable technology and culture through DIS in the happiest place on earth. When I first heard of this opportunity through my professor, I immediately came home and said to my husband, “There is a study abroad trip for my program. It’s in Denmark. It’s only three weeks.” His response: “You have to go.”

My sister-in-law Kate had a baby boy today - Hooray! Lucy has a new cousin and Tom and I are an uncle and aunt for the first time. We won’t be able to see him until later this summer but we are so excited! Congratulations Kate and Kevin - welcome to the parents club.
Tonight is a date night. They are pretty rare these days with a kid and all, but one of our favorite musicians is in town - Sondre Lerche. My husband and I have been fans ever since we watched the dvd extras (yea, we’re those kind of people) from “Dan in Real Life,” for which Sondre wrote the entire soundtrack. His amazing talent and jovial spirit peaked our interest, and we’ve been listening ever since - Heartbeat Radio, Sleep on Needles, and Two Way Monologue being amongst my faves. We look forward to a night off (thanks to Aunt Beth) and a night OUT. His new album doesn’t release until Tuesday, June 7, but you can pre-order right here or here. We’re going for LP + mp3 download - kitschy fun

Tom and I just couldn’t help ourselves last night and scooped up this letterpress number, as well as this one, after reading over some amusing “Dear Blank, Please Blank” submissions and finding Little Sapling Press via Pepper Sprout’s blog.

On a miserable and rainy Saturday afternoon, I stopped by the Art Star Craft Bazaar. I was fumbling with my umbrella, coffee, and iPhone, and wasn’t able to get any good pictures. However, here is a roundup of some faves with photos by the artists & crafters themselves:
